Information for the 2025 Campout

LOOP A and LOOPS B1 & B-2 ARE AVAILABLE THIS YEAR!

Loop A and Loops B-1 & B-2 are available 2:00 PM, Friday, July 19th until noon Tuesday, July 29th.

Amenities

Big Elk Campground
Tent and RV sites (no hookups), fire pits, grills, picnic tables, wate, and wheelchair accessible outhouses

Activities

Other than what you see on the schedule below, we also schedule two canoe runs with up to six canoes down the river Thursday to Saturday, and an all-day hike to the Wind Cave and back on Saturday. Please visit the activities page for more in depth information on these scheduled activities and activities in camp. Activities available in the area besides visiting Grand Teton and Yellowstone Parks are sight seeing, hiking, tubing, biking, four wheeling, paddle boarding, swimming, wading, fishing, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, etc.

Group Site Reservations

To accommodate early arrivals, we were able to reserve all three areas this year, A, B-1 & B-2 starting Friday, July 18th. Check in is 2:00 PM. Any arrivals at camp before July 18th MUST check in with the camp host before setting up camp, to avoid setting up in an area already reserved by another group.

Big Elk Campground Group Sites - RV's and/or tents
(submit paymen to local brethren)
  • $8 per night for each vehicle
  • $2 per night for each person

Big Elk Campground, Private Sites - RV's and/or tents
(submit payment to campground host)
  • $20 per night for each vehicle
  • $8 per night for each person

YMCA - Showers (deposit payment in any donation can)
  • $5 per shower

Ice (deposit payment in any donation can)
  • $3 per bag

Payments
  • Payment for camping in a Big Elk Campground group site outside the dates we have reserved should be made to the camp host.
  • Private sites can not be reserved. Payment should be made to Camp Host or put in envelope at the kiosk located at the entrance to the campground. Seniors, check in with the Camp Hosts before paying for a private site to see if you qualify for a discount.

  • Afternoon - Food and supplies arrive at Loop A Kitchen area

  • 6:00 PM - Stew and chili supper at the Loop A Camp Kitchen provided by local brethren
  • 6:30 PM - 6:30 PM - Welcome announcements at Dining area
  • 7:00 PM- Ice Cream Social at Dining area (Bring your ice cream freezer and favorite recipe! Generator available.)
  • 10:00 PM - Noise curfew (no generators)
Thursday, July 24th
  • 8:00 AM - Group breakfast and fellowship at the Church Camp Kitchen
  • 10:00 AM - Snake River canoe trip
  • 1:00 PM - Snake River canoe trip
  • 5:00 PM - Group supper at the Church Camp Kitchen (Italian)
  • 7:00 PM - Church at the Church Camp tent in Loop A
  • 10:00 PM - Noise curfew (no generators)
Friday, July 25th
  • 8:00 AM - Group breakfast and fellowship at the Church Camp Kitchen
  • 10:00 AM - Snake River canoe trip
  • 1:00 PM - Snake River canoe trip
  • 5:00 PM - Group supper at the Church Camp Kitchen (Mexican)
  • 7:00 PM - Church at the Church Camp tent in Loop A
  • 10:00 PM - Noise curfew (no generators)
Saturday, July 26th
  • 8:00 AM - Group breakfast and fellowship at the Church Camp Kitchen
  • 9:00 AM - Leave for Wind Cave hike
  • 10:00 AM - Snake River canoe trip
  • 1:00 PM - Snake River canoe trip
  • 6:00 PM - Group supper at the Church Camp Kitchen area (barbecue)
  • 7:30 PM - Singing at Church Camp Tent
  • 10:00 PM - Noise curfew (no generators)

  • 8:00 AM - Group breakfast and fellowship at the Church Camp Kitchen
  • 10:00 AM - Church at the Church Camp tent in Loop A
  • Afternoon - Group dinner at the Camp Kitchen (Soup, Sandwich, Salad)

  • 7:00 AM - Light breakfast at Dining area
  • 10:00 AM - Breakdown church and dining tents
  • 12:00 PM - Checkout of Big Elk Campground
  • 7:00 - PM Lord’s Supper at Old Wilson Schoolhouset

  • Afternoon - Rappelling at Boulder Island, Grand Teton National Park
